Sleepout 2018

Thanks for showing an interest in our Sleepout.

The Sleepout is now an annual event run in conjunction with the Bristol Homeless Forum to allow organisations working with homeless people in Bristol to come together for a joint fundraising and awareness event. This will be our 10th year of being part of the annual sleepout.

To take part you have to register with one of the participating organisations. The Julian Trust registration form is here, you will see it gives a lot of information about how the event is run and what you need to do as a participant.

One of the main aims for the Sleepout is to raise funds by getting sponsorship.

Once I have confirmed your registration you can start raising sponsorship. The easiest and most effective way to raise sponsorship is to register yourself with Virgin Money Giving as a Julian Trust fundraiser and set up a page for the event which you can publish and promote to your friends, family and colleagues.
Go to the Julian Trust Virgin Money Giving page, select the ‘Start Fundraising’ button and then Organised Event and search for ‘Julian Trust Annual Sleepout 2018’ in March 2018 and the Julian Trust event will appear for you to select. Be careful not to register for anyone else !!

Just follow the instructions and if you get stuck give me a call (07831 539122) or email (treasurer@juliantrust.org.uk)

If you want to do it the old fashioned way with sponsor forms and cash collection, that’s ok, just let me know and I’ll send you the sponsor forms to use.

If you’re already registered as a fundraiser on our old Charity Choice options, that’s fine too but we don’t have an easy way of knowing what was donated for individuals or events so please ask any of your donors to include a comment that makes it clear who they’re sponsoring.

And finally, if you’re not fussed about being personally credited with funds raised, you can ask everyone you know to sponsor you online using the group page, but again – leave a message: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/JT2018

Many thanks
